Steve Lambert, CCA Second Vice President
CCA’s Second Vice President, Steve Lambert, was born and raised in Sonoma, Calif. Steve attended the University of California, Chico, and in 1989 made Butte County his home. For over 20 years, Steve owned and operated Lambert Feed & Garden stores, which were located throughout the North State. Steve has been involved in the pure-bred cattle business his entire life, currently running cattle in Butte and Modoc Counties in addition to farming walnuts and hay.
Steve has served on various boards over the years, including the Butte County Farm Bureau, holding numerous roles; Butte County 2030 General Plan Advisory Committee; Air Quality Management District; and Sutter-Butte Flood Control Agency, to name a few. In addition to his involvement on various boards, Steve was elected as Butte County Supervisor in 2008 and went on to serve two terms.
Steve is a lifetime member of the American Hereford Association and has served as president and a board member. He is currently on the executive, Cattle-PAC and building fund committees for CCA and is currently on the board of the California-Nevada Hereford Association, the Western States Hereford Association, current president of the Butte County Cattlemen and a member of Modoc County Cattlemen.
Steve has three wonderful children and five adorable grandsons who he loves spending time with. He also has an amazing significant other, Kerri Olhiser. When they are not spending time with the cows or the grandsons, Kerri and Steve enjoy boating on the Afterbay, riding bicycles, visiting Sonoma County and spending time at their ranch in Alturas.
As part of CCA’s leadership team, Steve looks forward to helping and listening to fellow cattlemen, working to increase CCA membership, and getting others involved. He also looks forward to meeting new people, learning about their operations, and being a conduit between local and state associations.
