CCA Urges Members to Plan Ahead During COVID-19 Crisis

As we have previously reported in Legislative Bulletin and other member updates, CCA staff continues to work on your behalf during the current COVID-19 pandemic, and we foresee no interruption in our ability to continue serving you for the foreseeable future.

That said, federal, state and local responses to COVID-19 are fluid and constantly evolving, and it is difficult to predict how our operations may be impacted in the days, weeks, and months to come.

Out of an abundance of caution and to ensure that your ranch can continue normal operations to meet the current national demand for beef, CCA urges you to plan ahead regarding all aspects of your operation. As a component of that preparedness, we encourage you to plan ahead in purchasing products sold out of the CCA office. Specifically, CCA urges you to act swiftly to purchase any anaplasmosis vaccine or selenium boluses you anticipate needing between now and July.

As a reminder, our anaplasmosis vaccine is a killed vaccine, and will remain stable for an extended period of time so long as it is kept at room temperature (though it should be refrigerated after breaking the seal).

For same-day shipping, please place your orders in the morning, and allow 2-4 days for priority shipping. It is worth noting that between staffing shortages and the closure of brick-and-mortar retail establishments the strain on the US Postal Service and parcel delivery services has increased, so additional delays in shipping are possible.

As you place your orders, please be patient: In response to Sacramento County’s “stay and shelter” directive, only one CCA staff member will be in the office each day (the rest will be working diligently from home).

Finally, and most importantly, CCA continues to urge all members to follow CDC guidance and do everything in your power to stay healthy.
