2024 California Cattlemen’s Association Scholarship Applications Open
SACRAMENTO, Calif. – In 2023, the California Cattlemen’s Association (CCA) awarded over $49,000 to students studying agriculture. CCA is now accepting scholarship applications for the 2024 program through Oct. 1. from current undergraduate and post-graduate students. Applicants must have graduated from a California High School or be an out-of-state student currently attending a California college in order to apply.
Any CCA young, regular or feeder members are eligible to apply for the scholarships. Past scholarship recipients are also eligible to reapply. The application and full eligibility requirements for applying can be found at calcattlemen.org/scholarship.
CCA scholarships not only assist students with their current education and future ventures but help connect them to others involved in the industry.
Jason Dubowsky, a past scholarship recipient and current animal science graduate student at California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo shares, “The Livestock Memorial Research Fund scholarship has provided invaluable financial support, allowing me to pursue my studies in the beef industry with greater focus and dedication. It has specifically alleviated the stress of tuition costs, allowing me to focus on gaining practical insights and valuable experiences that are shaping my future in the beef industry.”
Past recipients are now employed in various careers within agriculture ranging from education, veterinary practices, animal health and much more.
Interviews for the awards will take place on Tuesday, Dec. 3, during the 108th CCA Convention at the Grand Sierra Resort in Reno, Nev.
