CCA Welcomes Gracie Machado to the Team

The California Cattlemen’s Association (CCA) is pleased to welcome Gracie Machado to the staff as our membership and events coordinator.

Gracie grew up in the town of Orland on a small Jersey and Holstein dairy, where her love and passion for cattle began. Over the years Gracie became involved in both 4-H and FFA showing hogs, dairy cattle, horses, and beef cattle. While in high school, Gracie’s family started a small beef cow-calf operation, and it was then that she started purchasing her own beef cattle. Currently, she and her fiancé run a small herd.

She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Sustainable Agriculture and Food Systems with a specialization in food and society from the University of California, Davis in 2023. During her time at college, Gracie worked at the UC Davis Meat Lab, allowing her to travel and connect with meat industry professionals from across the nation. For her senior year, Gracie had the opportunity to live as a resident at the beef barn, where she tended to the university’s cattle. During this time Gracie gained technical knowledge about the California beef industry and cattle health in general.

As CCA’s Membership and Events Coordinator, she is responsible for developing and maintaining good working relationships with all local associations and members and serves as a spokesperson for CCA as a whole. She also helps in the planning and execution of all events hosted by CCA including the Annual Convention, Midyear Meeting, Feeder Meeting, Cattle-PAC events and Legislative Breakfast.
