Mike Sulpizio,  CCA Feeder Chair

CCA’s Feeder Council Chair, Mike Sulpizio was born and raised in Southern California in Chino and Riverside when it was predominantly an agricultural area. While Sulpizio wasn’t raised in agriculture, he was surrounded by dairies and farming operations his entire life. This exposure led him to pursue a degree in animal science and agribusiness from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo.

Sulpizio continued to further his education at Kansas State University in ruminant nutrition. Upon graduation in the early 2000’s, Sulpizio worked for McElhaney Cattle Company up until its sale. For the last 14 years, Sulpizio has been feeding cattle in the Imperial Valley with Butterspur Cattle Feeders and Superior Cattle Feeders.

Sulpizio and his wife of 23 years met at Cal Poly and have three children. Their oldest daughter will be graduating from Texas Tech University with a degree in agricultural communications and in the fall will attend Texas A&M to pursue a master’s degree. Their middle son is a sophomore at the University of Arizona studying business and their youngest will be a sophomore in high school.
