Feeder Council

The California Cattlemen’s Association’s Feeder Council consists of producers who feed cattle throughout the state of California. The group develops recommended policy on issues affecting cattle feeders in California and represent the interests of commercial cattle producers.

Each spring, CCA feeder members gathers for the annual Feeder Council Meeting to hear from knowledgeable speakers who share their views on issues of importance to the industry in California and to interface with leading researchers, industry organizations, policy advocates and government officials. Last year, the Feeder Council held a joint meeting with members from Arizona in San Diego. The two-day meeting included numerous speakers and covered a variety of different issues ranging from the current and future business climate, animal health, trade, air and water regulations, global warming and animal nutrition.
